Salman Khan & Asin Are ‘Ready’ Again !

They were recently seen toether in Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. The success of the pair of Salman Khan & Asin probably inspired director Anees Bazmee to make a film with them. Both of them were ready for shooting Ready.

The Gajini girl, Asin, has packed her bags to leave for Sri Lanka next Sunday for shooting of the film, which is a remake of a Telugu film of the same name. Ready is also being remade in Tamil with Dhanush and Genelia in the lead and will be titled ‘Uttama Puthiran’.

But, all is not well with Asin. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC), has already boycotted the Bollywood stars attending IIFA awards in Colombo. Asin is also acting in a Tamil film Kavalkaran with Vijay, so the big question is, will they create problems for her too?

In an interview, Salman Khan, the hero of Ready said, “If people are in trouble in Sri Lanka, we should not dump them. We are here to entertain them. We won’t be able to go to Kashmir, Afghanistan or Gujarat if this attitude continues.”

Ready was originally supposed to begin its shooting in Mauritius. However, the Sri Lankan government has been able to impress Salman Khan and the filmmakers when they rolled out the red carpet smoothly for the IIFA. Moreover, the spectacular locales of Sri Lanka also had a striking role in this particular change of mind.

Many Tamil superstars were infuriated over choosing Sri Lanka as the IIFA venue. Asin said, “I respect the feelings of my fans and have not attended the awards function. However, I cannot take any decision regarding the shooting of Ready as it has been decided by the producer. I have signed a contract to shoot for them and I have to abide by that. I have already shown my concern and hope that they think about it.”

‘Ghajini Girl’ Asin Thottumkal seems to be the apple of everyone’s eyes. The Khan trio are vying with each other to rope in Asin for their respective projects. After Aamir and Salman, it is Shah Rukh Khan, who seems to be interested in the Southern beauty. Reportedly, King Khan has recommended her name for an upcoming film, which was earlier to star Katrina Kaif.

The film, produced by Yash Raj Film, is set to go on floors in 2009. Talking about the film, a source told a news daily, “The Yash Raj project was to go on floors during 2009 but Asin was committed to do a Priyadarshan project co-starring Akshay Kumar. In fact Akshay himself had suggested her name and she had landed in a catch 22 situation as rejecting the Yash Raj project would mean taking on the biggest production house’s ire and refusing Akki’s film would mean hurting him.”

Asin was on cross roads but then luck favoured her and Akshay’s film got delayed. The film is to go on floors next year. So, Asin readily agreed to work with Shah Rukh. But now reports are doing the rounds that Asin will be replaced by Katrina in Akshay’s film.

However, it would be real fun watching hugely talent Asin opposite energy-packed King Khan.

Katrina Kaif was initially being considered for this project but the King Khan made a conscious decision of keeping away professionally from anything that’s related to Salman, Katrina’s name was dropped.
“But then there was also a problem having Asin in the film.” sources further reveal. “The Yash Raj project was to go on floors during 2009 but Asin was committed to do a Priyadarshan project co-starring Akshay Kumar.
